Globe: Facebook logged over 1 billion users in 2012, 680M access on mobile!

Facebook remains to be one of the world's top social networking sites after breaching the 1 billion user base worldwide in 2012. In an official company disclosure, Facebook revealed that it logged in 1.06 billion monthly active users worldwide in 2012, a 25% increase from previous year. Of this number, 680 million users access the social networking site on mobile phones, smartphones, and other internet-enabled devices.

This was a staggering 57% increase from previous year's 432 million users who use their mobile devices to browse Facebook while on the go.
In the Philippines, the 8th largest Facebook population in the world with over 30 million users, the social networking site continues to attract more users as it expands access via mobile devices and smartphones.
